Dorchester, a county town of Dorset in England, is a historic market town which lies on the banks of the River Frome. It is located just 13 km south of the popular seaside town of Weymouth. The town is known for being the home of the writer Thomas Hardy, whose novels were said to be inspired by the area, and is a place in which tourists young and old can enjoy long walks in the surrounding countryside.
