Great location, a little tired!

Stayed for one night, the location was superb, right in the middle of the Lanes action. Decor was quite tired and made the room feel a little grubby.

Car park tax

Hotel is fantastic but they don't tell you about the hotel car park tax. £20 to park your car for the night . They don't tell you that when your booking the room. RIP-OFF

Rooms need to be refurbished

The hotel is very well situated and appears to be a fresh, modern establishment. However, the rooms - or at least, those rooms on the third floor - are in desperate need of refurbishment. Considering it is a four star hotel and not cheap, my partner and I found the room tatty and far from spotless (eg tea stains in the coffee mugs). We moved rooms but found the same issues in the next room. The only redeeming feature was the bed which was very comfortable. Be warned - the toilet door is frosted glass, does not lock and the door does not stretch from floor to ceiling.

Wedding weekend

I really enjoyed my stay at my hotel Brighton. The hotel is perfectly situated only 5 mins from the beachfront. The room was well laid out and very modern in decor. The bed was a good size and comfy. My only complaint is the cost of parking but to be fair everywhere in brighton city centre is expensive to park.

My Hotel

this was a fantastic funky hotel, it felt very luxurious at a good price, Brighton is not very big but we certainly felt in the middle of everything with lots of good bars, restaurants and shops surrounding the hotel. We used the hotel parking which though small was secure and we could just forget about the car for the length of the stay, friendly welcome by staff but didn't see much of them after that, which is a good sign as it shows we had all we needed.

Funky and friendly

The style of this hotel really has the wow factor. I'd read about 'stuck up' staff but the lovely Latvian guy and sweet spanish girl honsetly could not have been more friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble and we were given the option to upgrade to 'The Harrington' for just £20 per night and got shown it (btw it's not in the main building it's like a mini apartment of your own round the corner with its own entrance) If you've read reviews you'll know there are no proper breakfast facilities - just breakfast in the in-house coffee shop but that;s not a problem as there are dozens of nice cafe's within 5 minutes walk doing a cooked english breakfast for £5-£6. Parking facilities are good being just in the basement though you need to go into the cotail bar to get to the lift that goes down to it, The cost of £30 for Friday and Saturday nights and £20 other nights is rather pricey though. Some people compain about noise or with no room but our More Superior room overlooked Jubilee Square and no such problems there and good for people watchingl Reviewers often mention the open plan bathroom and certainly the fact the toilet only has a glass door can mean the tv needs to be turned up to cover any noise! After much searching we got a bargain that was less than half price and fantastic value for what you got, Although I really like it I doubt I would pay the full price of £170 a night though.
