My experiance

I have stayed in The Britannia Hotel about 5 times now and this was my worst stay over night . We were in the front of the Hotel ,room was lovely and clean BUT the noise from the The Prince Albert pub was horrendous the music was so loud till around 3 am . I shut all the windows and could still hear it .I think some double Glazed windows or secondary glazing should be fitted as in the summer i would imagine would be even worse trying to sleep in the heat and very very loud music going on . When i mentioned it to the receptionist he replied "oh sorry you must of been in the front" , this problem should be made aware to Guests who pay good money to stay in your hotel .

Colder than Atlantic Ocean

My stay at Britannia was not great at all. My room was rather cold, windows were not double glazing as you'd think it to be. I had alerted a member of staff at 9pm as heating was not working which they assured me a member of staff would be coming up to my room to sort the issue. At 10pm no sign of a member of staff as I waited in the freezing cold. I then rang again to say the room is really cold, could you bring a portable heather, another blanket or put the heating on as I've been waiting a while now. Staff never showed up in the night. Room was not a great deal, as it wasn't that clean. The sinks tap was faulty and there was a gap in bath tub so I couldn't have a proper bath either. Parking is chargeable in Wolverhampton however staff did not know of any parking around the area when I asked. On day of departure I had to wait one hour for a towel, milk and sugar. After calling down three times, a housekeeper eventually brought me the items. And I was told check out was 11am but I waited over hour for a towel to get ready. Staff are not well attentive and often in the back would rather have a natter than do their job. The lobby looked amazing though, quite posh looking, shame the bedroom was a sham. Won't be visiting again. Was a waste of money, might as well been sleeping outside.

overnight stay

I have stayed with the Britannia hotel 3 times now and haven't got any complaints . The staff are really nice and friendly and helpful in anyway they can. The rooms are clean and comfortable and ive had a good nights sleep every time :) The hotel is perfectly positioned the Railway station and bus Station are 3-4 mins walking distance. The theatre is also next door. The centre of Wolverhampton is walking distance and has a,modern shopping centre. I have enjoyed my stays in the Britannia Hotel and Wolverhampton. I would definitely recommend the Britannia Hotel.

Surprise in the room

Checked in. Given room 306. Opened the door to see a naked woman laying on the bed. Three ear-piercing screams later I made my apologies and retreated to the reception desk to be told nobody was supposed to be in room 306. No apology or even a hint of surprise from the receptionist. Better response from other guests who overheard the conversation at the reception desk. Given another room and the rest of the stay was uneventful.

-had to stay in a twin instead

-had to stay in a twin instead of a double which i booked which was a shame! - large room, large bathroom. while some parts were really clean, other parts of the room were quite dirty. - tv was archaic. - duvet was thin, i used two and still wasnt that warm - good value for money though for £35 - good location
