Ascot, as well as most areas in Berkshire, has a maritime climate. Seasonal temperatures do not vary much, which means fairly temperate weather year round. There is moderate rainfall throughout the year, but nothing major. The hottest temperature ever recorded was 98°F (36°C).
Getting There & Around
Only 21 miles (34 km) west of London and about 15 minutes from Heathrow Airport, Ascot is quite easy to reach. There are also two train stations, Windsor and Eton, which visitors can use to gain access to the village.
Travelling in the village is relatively simple: You can walk or take the bus. As for exploring Berkshire, the train service has routes to many of the surrounding cities and is not too expensive. Car rentals are available as well and are great for overnight trips to areas like Reading, Slough and Bracknell.
