Wonderful location, hotel set in lovely grounds, public areas very good standard. Staff happy and helpful. Room (deluxe) very tired decor but a good size. Mattress lumpy and creaky.

Can't fault the location of the hotel, very nice grounds. If the hotel hadn't been in the midst of renovation I think our stay would have been more enjoyable but with no apology for the works and an upgrade to a deluxe room with scaffolding all
around the windows, it was not pleasant. The deluxe room was spacious and nice to have a chiller but it was not particularly clean and had a very creaky bed! Can't say we'd rush back here but maybe once the work is finished it would be more enjoyable.
