Tozeur’s location on the edge of the Sahara Desert means it is hot and dry most of the year. Average daytime highs in the summer months of July and August reach 37°C, cooling to 15°C in December and January. Average nightly lows remain pleasantly warm from April through October, but can dip to a chilly 4°C in winter. Visit in fall during the harvest season.

Tozeur is serviced by the Tozeur-Nefta International Airport, which has domestic and international flights from select major European cities. There are several major car hire agencies in town. Getting around Tozeur is easy by taxi, car rental, bus or on foot. Be aware that taxis are not metered, so you need to agree on a price before you go. Louage, or shared taxis, are common.
