Bad Experience

We booked the deluxe room from Web. However, we were arranged to a unmanned 'Wing building' which had no elevator and the room was very old and dirty that even worser that an hostel. We were very disappointed with that 'Deluxe' Room and requested the staff to change the room to the 'Hotel Building'. The staff told us that we need to pay $400 baht per night to upgrade the room. However, no receipt or official notice regarding the charge could be provided to us. But anyway, we had upgraded since there was no better alternative. At the last day, we booked a shuttle from hotel to airport at 4am early morning. The staff told us at that morning that they would charge us $80 baht per passenger for shuttle. We confirmed them okey instantly and we saw they marked our requested date and time for the shuttle. Nevertheless, when we recon firmed them that night, they said they need to charge us $300 baht for taxi since no shuttle could be provided at 4am. We are so surprised that they don't inform us in advance until the last moment when we re-confirm the schedule. But same thing happen again, we have no other alternative and had to accept it. Our conclusion is, DON'T book this 'hotel' unless you are ready to bargain with the staff for everything.

Great Location

Situated halfway between the night market and the Old City. Would stay there again. Staff helpful, transport to and from the hotel very cheap. Room comfortable, the only thing was that being a smoker we had to go down to the reception and out the front to smoke, due to the hotel being non smoking and not having any balconies.

Underwhelmed

What seemed at first to be a good value 4 star hotel turned into a very below stamdard room on 3rd floor with no lift. Only when large surcharge paid for suite did the hotel come up to standard. Even then the shower water was lukewarm at best.

Great hotel.

Firstly I must say that it`s well worth paying the extra to be in the main building. Room was great, plenty of space, fridge, tea and coffee and spacious bathroom. Nice little extras like the free drink voucher to use in the coffee shop each day. Easy to get everywhere once you use the alleys behind the hotel, I love Chiang Mai.

Good services & facilities

The twin bed rooms in the main building are great. They are spacious. The staff are courteous. The set meals in the coffee house are great & value for money. Breakfast is generous. Location is near the night market but be careful of the road walkway. They are not pedestrian friendly. Good value for money as a whole. Will stay again

Don't even think about it...

A truly nasty experience...they gave us a 3rd floor room in a wing of hotel with no elevator, knowing that we have a baby??? Rooms are very basic.. No warm water, tv channels are ridiculous... Nice breakfast though..I will never stay here again.. We moved to Dusit D2 which is brilliant
