The neighbourhood has several entertainment districts, restaurants and bars that offer revellers a place to grab a cool drink or a quick bite to eat. At night the Silom, Bangkok sidewalks come alive with hawkers selling everything from sweet treats to novelty t-shirts, night markets.

Since Silom is a well-known business, it has its own line on Bangkok’s BTS Skytrain so getting there is very easy from just about anywhere in the city. Passengers can get off the Sky Train at the Sala Daeng station and will immediately be greeted by an assault on all five senses, as the area is very crowded. The city of Bangkok’s MRT subway also has a stop called Silom so it is well connected by public transport. Due to the extremely heavy traffic, driving is not recommended, so it is advisable to use trains or take one of the thousands of motorcycle taxis circling the area.
