The Gothic Quarter is expressly closed to any traffic besides taxis and service vehicles and is therefore most easily traversed on foot. The Gothic Quarter is also known for being quite safe, and many of the city’s primary attractions can be found within close walking distance of one another. The L4 from the Jaume I metro station, and the L3 from either the Liceu or Drassanes stations, will take you directly to this iconic neighbourhood. Additionally, there are three metro stops on the Las Ramblas end of the quarter for those travellers hoping to see more of the city.
