Casa Mila hotels
Commonly known in Barcelona as La Pedrera (The Quarry), Casa Milá is the last building designed by Antoni Gaudí before he focused on the construction of the famous Sagrada Família elsewhere in Barcelona. It is biomorphic in design, with a self-supporting façade; and, while less colourful than the design of Casa Batlló, another structure of similar form, it is even more unconventional. Visit the top floor, attic, and rooftop, which are the only areas open to visitors. You’ll notice the interior has almost no straight lines, and the many strange chimneys on the rooftop terrace seem like something straight out of a science fiction or fantasy movie. The view of the Eixample district from the roof is quite delightful, another reason why this structure is a must-see.

When you get to Barcelona, Casa Milá is just down the street from several other Gaudí buildings, including Casa Batlló and the Sagrada Família, and can be seen on a walking tour of all the Gaudí attractions, or on one of several tour buses. You can also get there by bus (lines 7, 16, 17, 22, 24 or 28), or Metro (Diagonal station), or arrive by FGC (Provença) or RENFE (Passeig de Gràcia). Casa Milá has been designed to be accessible to everyone and these accessibility features have been integrated into the tours.
