Barceloneta, or "Little Barcelona," is a small coastal neighbourhood along the Mediterranean Sea in Barcelona, Spain. Its restaurants feature fresh seafood, whilst the streets and museums highlight maritime history. Barceloneta’s beach was featured in book two of the famous tale of Don Quixote. The town is also home to many beautiful parks and walkways. The fun doesn’t end at nightfall; Barceloneta’s nightlife is renowned, and the many restaurants in the city are conveniently located beside its many nightclubs. Visit the parks and the beach during the day, have a relaxing dinner, then dance the night away.
- Study up on 3000 years of Spanish history at the Catalonia History Museum, located in an old Port Vell warehouse; tours on Sundays and Mondays are free to the public.
- Tour Barcelona by cable car for the best view of the city port.
- Go rowing in the lake at Barceloneta's Ciutadella Park, and then explore its various sculptures by top artists, and the park zoo with a collection of 400 animal species.
Barcelona, Spain is serviced by the El Prat Airport. All the major Spanish cities in the region are connected to the airport by the RENFE trains.
