Jogyesa Temple hotels
South Korea's Jogyesa Temple is a Buddhist temple that was established in 1395. Standing proudly outside the temple are several beautiful locust and baeksong trees, some of which are close to 500 years old. Whilst most temples are located in the mountains, Jogyesa is conveniently located within the city of Seoul, making it a popular stop for tourists. The temple is easily accessible from many of Seoul's hotels. Visit the many gift shops and souvenir stalls located near the Jogyesa Temple, offering prayer beads, incense, traditional Buddhist dolls, and more.
- Tour Seoul's Jogyesa Temple free of charge; the temple is open 24-hours a day and many organized central Seoul tours include a stop at the temple.
- Tour the main temple structure of Daeungjeon, which houses an impressive statue of Seokgamoni, and features a large stone pagoda at its entrance.
- Explore Seoul's many museums, cultural attractions, and marketplaces; visit the city during the Hi! Seoul Festival, held 4 times a year, to enjoy parades, traditional music and dance performances, as well as fireworks displays.
