Not recommend. The room too small; staff not friendly

I've my 4 nights stay last week (on 26th May). Poor amenities and no service at all. But too pricey.

Good staff - terrible room

My booking confirmed a "quaint room" I guess this is how you describe a very, very small room with NO window. If I had been a slightly overweight westerner I would not have fitted into the en suite bathroom as it was the smallest I have ever seen seen including many in Europe. Free wi-fi, coffee and nibblies were a positive as were the extremely corteous and friendly staff. They of course could not do anything about the size of the rooms however I was offered a room with a window for an extra $30 per night (ridiculous). One I had was a queen bed, with a window only available with single bed.Fortunately I spent very little time at the hotel so was able to put up with the room for sleeping and showering.. I could not recommend this hotel to any westerner expecting a normal sized room.

Excellent

Excellent location, 2 - 3 minute walk to Outram MRT, 5 minute walk to chinatown, lots of restaurants, cafes and bars around. The rooms are slightly smaller but that will do very good for holiday goers as you only go back to the hotel to sleep in a city like Singapore. Complimentary snacks, tea, coffee, ice cream available 24 hours of the day. Super comfy bed and pillows. The biggest mention has to be the super friendly and efficient staff. The voices (from the housekeeping and the maintenance teams) and the door closing from the hallways can be heard if you are a light sleeper but no biggie. If this can be avoided somehow, the customer satisfaction of the hotel will go places.

Boutique and beautiful

We stayed for six nights at this hotel in room 222. What a great little hotel! Good location and friendly staff and an ice-cream each night before heading to our room. The rooms are snug, but you expect this in Singapore. You pay a lot more for space. Knowing this, you can't do better than this gorgeous hotel. I thought it would be noisy but it was not. There are two MRT stations within easy walking distance and being close to Chinatown is great for choice of hawker food.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Upstairs at the Chinatown complex. Go eat with the locals and at the far end of the eateries, and find the claypot stand. Excellent. You can eat great food in these places for around $4 - 5

Great Boutique Hotel - Great Location

Very well done boutique hotel - so often these are touted as avante garde but are more often than not shoe boxes - rooms are excellently thought out, very comfortable and cleverly decorated. Service is great - from check in to check out and the location is perfect for access to China Town or other parts of Singapore.

Cozy with nice decoration. Although

Cozy with nice decoration. Although there was no window in my room, I had no uncomfortable feeling. The only drawback was the soundproofing, I was awoke several times by the sound made by the guests in next room when they closed the door. Anyway, it's value for money to stay in The Saff.
