Singapore Art Museum
The Singapore Art Museum opened in 1996 as a facility containing one of the largest collections of modern and contemporary Southeast Asian art pieces. The museum is located in what was once the Saint Joseph’s Institution building. Featuring more than 7,500 pieces of Southeast Asian and Singaporean art works, this museum offers patrons a chance to learn about the history and culture of Singapore through the many collections displayed throughout this facility. Moreover, the Singapore Art Museum features an extension building with a wide range of paintings, sculptures, and private art collections.
- Take a trip to one of Singapore’s top attractions, the Singapore Art Museum, where visitors will have access to a number of temporary exhibits that showcase art pieces from established, and up-and-coming, local artists.
- Head over to the only permanent exhibit at the Singapore Art Museum, the Learning Gallery, which features contemporary art pieces that reflect the social issues affecting the Singapore community.
- Grab a cold drink and something delicious to eat at the museum’s Dome Café.
