Mustafa Centre hotels
One has to wonder if the saying “shop till you drop” was coined in Singapore's Little India district after Mr. Ahmad opened his titanic Mufasta Centre shopping complex. At the very least, it is obvious he took the saying literally by opening a giant mall complete with its own hotel, travel agency and foreign exchange service. If you are planning to spend most of your time shopping in Little India, it is likely you would never have to leave the Musfasta Centre, but you should try to take a stroll down the festive, attraction-packed Sarangoon Road.
- Shop for just about anything under the Singapore sun from cutting edge electronics and home goods to designer watches and jewellery, cosmetics, fashion, and even fresh produce and groceries in the four-level, 24-hour shopping mall at Mufasta Centre.
- Enjoy the most authentic and inexpensive Indian cuisine in Singapore (including a wide range of vegetarian choices) from dozens of establishments on Syed Alwi and Sarangoon Roads.
- Experience Little India's unique and vibrant nightlife in the pubs and bars of Race Course Road.
Changi Airport is twenty kilometres from Mufasta Centre using the East Coast Parkway. There are several airport transportation options, including metered taxis (which are quite reasonable), the minivan shuttle service, limousines, buses, and the subway. Travellers from Malaysia can also travel to Singapore via coach or railway, and there are designated taxis that can take you across the border. The subway is a very efficient and inexpensive way to get around, and the North East Line serves the Mufasta Centre. One can also ride on the local trishaws, which are tricycle powered taxis.
