Fantastic hotel to stay at. Staff very friendly and helpful. Provided converter for curling iron as I did not have one. The only thing that could be better was the pool area. The roof seemed to be peeling and the whole area could use a touch up. We would definitely stay there again.

Abysmal

Aircon so loud you have to switch it off to sleep, even in the living area of a 1 bed suite with the door closed! Breakfast abysmal, service to match. Check in process takes an age and is, frankly, patronising. (What hotel tells a solo traveler on business how many people you are 'permitted' to have in your room at a time or asks you if you intend to consume alcohol on the premises?!?) Hotel layout is a nightmare and extremely poorly sign posted - navigation is so confusing they have resorted to putting signs in the elevators to say which floor you have to go to to switch elevator banks to get down to the lobby... you get the idea. "I'll just get someone to give you a fast check out service" translates to "please sit over there for 20 minutes and wait while I have a chat to my colleague" An offer of "I'll get you a taxi" translates to "I'll wander off to never be seen again" The lights in the room are a puzzle akin to a rubik's cube; after wandering around for almost 10 minutes trying to work it out it became apparent that to switch the stand alone lamp off you have to switch off every other light - you can't even unplug it as this hotel finds it necessary to protect it's patrons from inadvertent dimming of the lights by replacing the plug with a fixed lead that cannot be detached from the wall. The wi-fi internet connection didn't work, the guy sent to fix it was evidently a maintenance guy who was clearly afraid to admit he hadn't a clue about wireless or computers. When I asked what he recommended he said well maybe you should click on this . Please note, the browser was open and filling the entire screen when he made this ingenious suggestion. Not that it was his fault, it's just that this hotel has no idea how to provide service of any kind. In sum, there was not a single good thing I could find to say about the Linden Suites, even to be kind.

Many items downgraded

I stayed here on Dec 31, 2010 and 2011. I noticed several downgrades in their offerings. Only basic dinnerware, for example, are available in the kitchen, i.e. no pots, knives nor other cooking utensils. They offered those for a fee. Also, the breakfast buffet had fewer choices, no more cheese tray. Nevertheless, it's still an acceptable fortress against New Year's smog and noise caused by firecrackers.

We now stay at the Linden every

We now stay at the Linden every time we go to Manila on business and it is like returning home. Clean comfortable and friendly. We usually visit 3 times each year. We have not had a bad experience during any stay. We have had a variety of rooms and found all of them to be more than adequate. We always look for the Linden as our preference and find the price quite good on most occasions.

This was our 4th stay at the Linden

This was our 4th stay at the Linden and find it ideal for us. The rooms are comfortable and each time appears to show signs of general maintenance being carried out. Staff are helpful, breakfast is good and location is great being walking distance to the SM Mall. small supermarket next door. We have had both a 1 and 2 bedroom suite and it provides us with all we require. We now take a taxi from the airport providing it has a meter and have found it a much cheaper option.

Great value for a centrally located

Great value for a centrally located hotel. Very nice huge suite. Staff very helpful. Downsides: internet is not free and not fast. Buffet is more for locals than western tastes, but adequate. I will return.
