Sinsen is a charming area of Oslo, Norway. Historically, this area was an important crossroads and actually takes its name from an old farm. Today, it is a commercial and residential area in the borough of Grunerlokka. Recent development of the area has created several modern amenities like shopping centres and restaurants. There are also many natural sights like the Grefsenkollen Hill. Some of the popular attractions here are the Sinsen Church, Munch Museum and the Botanical Gardens. Visitors to this area will find plenty to do and see, and will revel in the beautiful natural scenery.
- Visit the Sinsen Church, a modern church made of concrete, with depictions of wooden sculptures of a crucified Christ, along with John and Mary.
- Tour the Munch Museum in Oslo, which showcases the works of Edvard Munch, as well as his personal belongings; guided tours of the museum are offered on Sundays.
- Explore the local Botanical Garden, which offers lovely gardens, Chinese trees, beautiful flowers and picnic spots; this a must-visit after some hectic sightseeing in Oslo.
