Great views

Handy location and great views. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms could do with new curtains that block out light.

Awesome view!!

The hotel sign was not display well from the street. The hotel room seemed o4ut dated. But we booked a lake view room so it had a breath taking view. And the restaurant had a great view too if you don't have a lake view room.

Views to die for

While this hotel is 5 minutes from town, most of the hotels are. But this hotel is perched high on the hillside with uninterrupted views over the Lake and the Remakables Mountain range. You can lie in bed and watch the ever changing colors and weather as time drifts over the landscape laid out in front of you. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and with friendly staff. The movie channel is a very old fashioned 1 DVD in a player. On a lazy day in, I counted Moma Mia being replayed 9 times. I had to go and ask them to change the DVD, which they quickly did too Scent of a Woman, that was replayed all day 2 days ago. I suggested that it was the little things they needed to work on, invest in a multi disk DVD player. I would stay here again, value for money it was tops.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

Must Do; the night dinner cruise on the 100 year old steamer the HMAS Earnshaw. It cruises with all the flourish of a time gone by, steam, and you can view the working of this grand old lady, even down into the engine room. The destination is a working farm, and awaiting is the best NZ food banquet you will find, great food a charm of old world and plenty of it. After dinner you can watch sheep dogs work, see a sheep being fleeced and hold a baby lamb. Very informative. Then the cruise back has an old fashioned sing along if you think you can sing. Do not miss this

Fantastic stuff!

Regretted of not staying in this hotel for more than 1 night. Looks average but recently renovated rooms, makes it worth the money. Room was very clean and spacious. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking.
