Ben Lomond Mountain is located just north of Queenstown, in the Ben Lomond Scenic Reserve. The town itself is situated near the central bend in Lake Wakatipu. The mountain is accessible by mountain bike or on foot. A trek up and down Ben Lomond will take you close to a full day. There are designated areas along the hiking routes where mountain bikes cannot access, which makes walking up the mountain a little safer for those not saddled up on moving steel. The Ben Lomond Track is accessible from Skyline Access Road or One Mile Creek Walk.
