Hotel at budget prices

A great complex to stay in. Not as flashy as others, however great location, comfortable and resort like. The rooms were basic (bar fridge and TV) however very clean and beds were comfortable. Wifi was a little hit and miss and room service finishes at 9pm, however that's all I could really complain about.

work and play

the hotel is well located opposite a popular beach and in the midst of various restaurants and shops and there is a bus stop just outside. i would happily stay there again. the staff were a little abrupt and the lack of clocks anywhere was disconcerting but these were not things that would stop me staying again

Great place to relax in the heart of things

We stayed at Le nouvata for 2 nights out of 7. The hotel then had a black out and we were upgraded at no extra cost to another room in the Park hotel, part of the same complex. Le nouvata rooms were basic but fitted the purpose, very clean, confortable mattress and quiet. Rooms at the Park were bigger but same basic furnitures. There was a few ants coming if you left food out but nothing that would compromise your stay. Both hotels have great balcony views on the sea. All rooms at the Park faces the sea or pool. Unfortunatly the pool was way too cold for a swim. We went to the beach instead, and the water was a nice 22 degrees. The reception was nice, helpful and courteous. The complex is very clean, which was important for us. We did not try the restaurants there.Restaurants at Anse vata are a 1 minute walk, just outside the hotel. And to my point of view Anse vata beach is nicer than baie des citrons.

Relaxing getaway

A great weeks holiday. Clean hotel, friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable rooms, just a shame they smell of smoke. Asked for smoke free room, but this one did have an ashtray in it. Great sushi buffet in the restaurant and bar area good with tables in and outside. Enjoyed the convenience of beach front and bus stop just outside. Liked the sea view from the room. Would have liked the fridge to be stocked. Desperately thirsty on arrival at 8pm and nothing in room to drink. Would use the hotel again.

visit the city museum if you are interested in the history of Noumea. Very informative. The only cheap thing in Noumea at 100 francs entrance fee.

Standard of the hotel is very

Standard of the hotel is very high. I wonder why it is rated as a *** and not a **** hotel. There were some problems though: - Either the hotel does not have non-smoking rooms or they just assigned a stinky smoker room to us. - Even when turning on all the lights in the room in the evening, it is too dark to read. We booked the hotel officially with a discount with a discount of around 70% at RatesToGo. That is actually not correct. The discount to the published regular rate is only 10-15%. This price is still good for Noumea though.

Great room overlooking pool and

Great room overlooking pool and view to beach. Front desk staff helpful with tour and shuttle bookings. All spoke English, some better than others but we could all understand each other. House keeping staff extremely friendly. Happy hour at bar 5-6pm, did not eat at restaurant, although fellow visitors said meals very good. Several restaurants/bars within walking distance. Noumea can be pricey, but if you buy a few staples from supermarkets (juice, soft drinks, biscuits, cheese, fruit etc) you can reduce costs. Local bus stops outside hotel. Each trip costs XPF200 if ticket purchased from driver but if you purchase ticket from booth at main stop in gardens in town reduces to XPF170. Apparently there is a multiple use ticket available but couldn't find too out too much about this.
