4 STARS - Deluxe
Beautiful, spacious rooms with an exceptional interior. In some of the rooms original cabinets have been retained or they have a recessed bed build in the wall. In other rooms wood-slated shutters provide a special, high atmospheric light fall. The furniture is designed by famous contemporary Dutch designers and it is combined with classic furniture, like chairs from the early twentieth century by architect De Bazel. Additional bed is available at 35 Euros per night.
3 STARS - Superior
These rooms are equipped with furniture from famous contemporary Dutch artists such as Richard Hutten, Ineke Hans. Office Lakenvelder, and Atelier van Lieshout. Architects MVRDV have designed remarkable bathrooms for these rooms. In some rooms the brightly coloured bathroom is clearly visible in the middle of the room, in other rooms the bathroom seems absent, but can be folded-out. Additional bed is available at 35 Euros per night.

Beautiful, amazing rooms with private bathroom. The design of MVRDV and Seyferth has led to imaginative solutions for efficient use of space. Some rooms have a surprising shower, others a magnificent view over the water.
1 STARS - Economy (shared bathrooms)

Christoph Seyferth designed the furniture for these rooms including the Lloyd Table. All these rooms overlook the Docklands. A bathrobe is provided for the tiny walk to the bathroom.

Dining

Restaurant
The menu reflects the Lloyd Hotel 1 to 5 stars concept of the hotel. It offers dishes from sweetbread to fries. High-quality products are used for all dishes, coming from organic farmers in the area or quality suppliers such as Menno (baguette, pain de campagne), Holtkamp (croquettes and biscuits) and Lindenhoff (meat, imported cheeses). We make our own cakes, jams and mayonnaise, by traditional recipes. On the menu are products of the season as well as "forgotten vegetables" such as parsnip and black roots. The food is pure in its quality and in the way it is presented. The menu consists mainly of French and Italian cuisine, but dishes from the rest of Europe are also available. From 5pm there is a wide range of pinchos on the bar. Here we offer a large selection of beers, including beers from the local brewery and an exclusive wine list in several price categories. All wines can be ordered by the glass.

expectations mismatch

good hotel, nice quiet location but close to the central station, well connected and great staff. however the 1* rooms (those with shared bathrooms) are rather shabby. they are clean but very shabbily appointed and would benefit from serious maintenance work. the hotel offers rooms of all different star ratings under one roof, as a part of an unique experiment. but when booking from sites as these, one doesn't know of that fact, and are liable to get very disappointed upon arrival.

slightly better than a youth hostel

+ nice view over IJ-Haven + room was clean - shared bathroom not very clean - *-room completely overpriced (100EUR) - beds thinner than average single size (80cm) - completely amateur reception This was the most overpriced hotel I have stayed at so far. Admitted: I have been mislead by the offer (online), which clearly indicated a double room with breakfast and didn't realize that I eventually booked a twin without breakfast - should have looked more carefully.

Comfortable bed and great shower

we enjoyed our room with beautiful view, comfortable bed and great shower because that is all we needed. A great find steeped in history with different areas to sit and chill. I will definitely go back. Staff could have been more welcoming.

Don't stay anywhere else!

Arty, quirky, a little bit eerie, but very comfortable. We stayed for two nights, a couple with two children (in 10 aged 12) - a large room, more like mini-suite. Trams stops are very close by and you can get to the city centre very easily in 20-30 mins. You'd be nuts to pay as much or more staying somewhere grotty or boring in the noisy city centre.

Disappointed

First of all, didnt know they had rooms which needed to share bathrooms. Shared bathroom got very dirty in the evening. Wanted to change to non-shared but most rooms were under renovation. Room was very bare and had nothing much. The floors werent very clean either. However, staff service was close to perfect. If you like quiet places, away from the buzz of Amsterdam then you may consider this place. Location was quite far off from town even though near to the tram 10 and 26 which could link you around. Dont expect any facilities. Even the hot water dispenser on some levels were kind of faulty or difficult to use. The water dispensed tasted like metal.
