It's OK

I've stayed at this hotel before, mainly because the location is good. The rooms are large. The hotel could really be amazing, but it needs refurbishment. The beds are hard and old. We asked for a king, and they gave us two twins pushed together. The pillows we had last night were a nightmare. We could barely sleep because of the noise of the air conditioning units on the roof. I can't stress enough the noise was like being in the hold of a ship. It's pricey for the quality. The restaurant looks pretty but it was way overpriced as well. Lots of other restaurants within walking distance though.

Excellent value at great location

Staff are courteous and accommodating, and the room was clean and comfortable. Heads-up: Verify that (key) strongbox (no charge) and (empty) refrigerator are both operative, if you require these. Pre-negotiate rates with hotel-based taxis. If you want a metered radio-taxi, you will have to call it yourself. In Mexico, it is unsafe to hail taxis on the street. You can easily walk to the historic center to take the Metro. Otherwise, "local" stops near the hotel are not very convenient or well-located.

This is a grand old hotel in an area of new high-rise apartment buildings and hotels. The best thing about it was the price. There was nothing of interest in the immediate neighborhood, but it is not a bad walk to Alameda park and Palacio de Bellas Artes. The buffet restaurant did not look appealing but two blocks away I found a good clean, inexpensive restaurant, "Wings," for BL&D. Hotel was a good value.

Good location at Reforma street/

Good location at Reforma street/ It is within walking distance to Zona Rosa area wiht lots of food joints and bar. Also within walking distance to Hadalgo metro station which connects to many interesting places to Mexico. The hotel has a nice architecture but at night, it can be a litle noisy, as it is just beside the main reforma street. Otherwise, a good deal. It would be better if breakfast is included
