All round perfect!

I enjoyed my stay in Le Meridien. It is easy to get to and to get around being across undercover walkways from KL Sentral where the KLIA Express, KTM, and LRT station is. We mainly used the trains at KL Sentral which brought us to KLCC, KL Tower, and other hotspots in the CBD. It felt like everything was at the fingertips with this hotel with a shopping complex right opposite with plenty of food and shops to choose from! The hotel room is well maintained, clean, spacious and well equipped. It has a large and awesome pool area where you can just relax at for hours. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Can't think of how a hotel can get any better than this!

Great transfer from airport,to train, to hotel

Really liked how we could take the fast express train straight from the airport to the end of the line without stops. Get out there and could already follow hotel signs straight out the station, through the mall and then across the road to the hotel. Great staff and very helpful. Only negative is no free wifi in the room and charge around $15 a day! Only free in the lobby or on the train itself.

Great stay!!! Great Location!!!

I stayed here for 3 days during Dec'13 with my family . The checkin / checkout was smooth and the services were prompt. We requested in-room service 3-4 times and were always attended to with a smile. The room was neat and clean and had all the necessary amenities provided by a typical high end hotel. The single point contact number for all services is a good feature which takes care of all the service needs. Another thing I liked very much was that there was no stinginess in providing mineral water for the guests. We had several complimentary mineral water bottles in our room which was replenished every day. In other hotels where I have stayed, we get only 2 bottles as complimentary and to avoid paying excess need to make own arrangements for drinking water. No such issues here. The concierge service was very helpful too and I utilized their service to know about places to visit around KL. From an Indian's perspective, the selection of Indian dishes in their in hotel restaurant's continental menu was adequate and those that we tried had good taste. Swimming pool, I felt, was bit average. The shallow pool was too shallow for my 5 year kid and the deep pool was too deep for her. She was this bit disappointed. The location of the hotel is just next to KL Sentral is superb as it makes it well connected by trains and taxi to all the places around KL. We made good use of this location. In addition to travel around KL, we also used KL Sentral for more dining options and also other amenities. Overall it was a good experience during the stay at this hotel. I would definitely recommend it to anyone going to KL.

Dining tip: In Hotel

Palak Paneer (Indian) in the Hotel Restaurant "Latest Recipe" was unconventional and very tasty from the usual fare we get in Indian restaurents. Should try for vegetarian guests.

Great Hotel

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The trip from KLIA to the hotel was extremely convenient - i reached the hotel in 28 minutes. The hotel ambience, services, decor etc was a great mix between business & pleasure. i would definately go back for a stay there.

Good Location, but that's where it Ends!

We stayed at Le Meridien since we were catching a late night train to Butterworth, so the location was ideal. For a 5 star hotel, the room was very small and lacked space. The decor is very dated and the whole hotel could do with some modernisation. If this was a budget 3 star hotel, this could be overlooked, but for 5 stars you expect a lot more! On the first night, we returned to our room to find it stinking of smoke! We were on a non-smoking floor, so couldn't understand how our room could stink so badly. Also peculiar considering the foyer on the floor had no odour at all. We were given a room change to a larger room on the same floor, which thankfully didn't smell. However all our belongings that had been left in the room were stinking of smoke!! This is totally unacceptable for a hotel of this calibre, or any hotel for that matter! As for the location, it is convenient being located at Sentral Station. You can catch trains to anywhere, including the monorail and LRT. However, our taxi from the airport had great difficulty finding the hotel entrance because the whole area surrounding the hotel is a construction site! Our driver was circling and asking for directions, then half an hour later finally managed to get to the hotel entrance, up a long winding ramp! The staff at the front desk were also not too kind. They didn't seem interested in helping us and when we asked how to get to places, they gave vague directions. There was also a problem with the lobby lights, they kept coming on and off every few minutes, this is very annoying!! As for our second room, it was larger than the first, so there was actually room to open 2 suitcases, however the water in the shower (bath) did not drain properly. We had to stand in dirty water while showering, and after we'd finished it took about half an hour for the water to drain from the bath! Next time in KL I would look for a cheaper nearby hotel, which would probably also have better service. Being a 5 star hotel, also WiFi was not free, except in the lobby which is disappointing.

Kuala Lumpur Stay

This hotel is in an excellent location right next too the main train station and taxis stands. Excellent facilities including pool, spa, gym,bar and dining rooms. On checking in they will deduct your card approximately equivalent to the cost of your stay to cover any incidental charges you may rack up.If you are on a high floor there are excellent views across the city.
