Great choice of hotel for a Macau excursion

Location of the hotel is great, right in the heart of the Galaxy complex with many attractions, i.e. cinema, shopping, restaurants and most importantly, outdoor water fun with water slides and beaches. It is within walking distance from the heart of Cotai with many excellent Portuguese restaurants and local shops, we dined there every night during our 3-night stay in Macau. Hotel staff are all very polite and helpful, even when we suspected the room service lady misplaced our sun tan lotion, they went through hoops to try to find it for us. The only slight disappointment was about the afternoon tea. I read a good review about it and paid an upgraded package price to include it only to find out that it was not at all worth it. My advise, do stay at the hotel, it's great but skip the afternoon tea package.

Japanese 5 star standard

Except the check in process took a little bit long, the room and hotel facilities are superb. The new pool deck of the resort complex is definitely the highlight. Recommended for families and kids.

Good service, nice and clean rooms

The VIP check-in arrangement on the 6th floor was excellent. My family member could seat back and relax in a sofa with complimentary drinks while I was dealing with the check-in procedure. The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy.

5 Star Luxury

Having stayed in "5 Star" Hotels before with my work I was not expecting the hotel to be this good. The staff were nice and spoke good English, the room was huge, the ammenities were top notch and the Hotel itself was great. Really liked the T.V. infront of the bath and the bar alongside the wavepool were a nice touch. Free shuttle buses are available to most of the tourist hotspots and other Casinos

Very Enjoyable Experience

I stayed a night in Okura Hotel, Macau with my family on Oct 2013 and I found it very comfortable. The check in was smooth and efficient. The room was beautiful with a warm touch of wood. The twin beds were comfortable. My room had a beautiful view of the man made pool below which was a present bonus to the room. Overall, I had a great and wonderful stay at the hotel. I would definitely visit the hotel again in my future trip to Macau.

A Golden Weekend at Okura

Traveling to Macau roughly a week before the "Golden Weekend", we were unsure what to expect from a potentially overworked hotel staff. However, the staff at the Okura proved to be up to the task. There is not a bad thing that can be said about the staff. Always curteous, willing to help and very efficient. Every person we encountered spoke good to excellent English, making communication extremely easy (those who know Macau will know that it is not always the case there). I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail and readiness to accomodate any request, as well as with the quality of the ammenities. Granted, we did not use the Wavepool and its famed artificial beach, but only on account of it being wintertime and the temperature outdoors being less than inviting. As to everything that could be controlled by the hotel, it was positively perfect!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Okura Hotel, part of the Galaxy complex, is located only a very short walk from Taipa Village, an area with many restaurants and heritage sites on Taipe - Galaxy (and Okura) are actually on Cotai, but on the "border" between the reclamation area (Cotai) and Taipa Island. One needs only to cross a street right in front of the hotel.
