Family Ski Trip
The best located hotel in Faraya to the chairlift. The hotel was beautiful and had most things that you would need on a ski trip. As always the ski season is only short and everyone is trying to make there yearly salary in the winter months so
drinks and food are extremely expensive : eg 1 can of Pepsi from Hotel was $4.80 USD.
Ski hire shops attached to the hotel offer reasonable hire rates and friendly service. Lift ticket prices are relative cheap although the service queuing and existing the lift is not the best so be alert.. I would suggest purchasing your lift ticket from Junction chairlift as it is 40 cheaper than from Refuge Chairlift at the hotel..
Overall we had a great time and memorable family ski trip..
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
1. You MUST hire a Skidoo and take a guided trip around the mountain that was incredible!! $50USD per Skidoo for two people for 30 mins.
2. Arrange a taxi for prepaid amount $80USD and visit Jeita Grotto (modern wonder of world)) & then travel to visit the ancient town of Byblos 4000 years BC .
Both places are a must see. Enjoy beautiful Lebanon.
