Pretty good hotel for a reasonable price

A good hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Closer I think to Tawaramachi metro than Asakusa. Also Sensoji is only about 10 minutes walk away. Hotel breakfast is a little steep, but there is a handy Jonathan's coffee shop and restaurant at Tawaramachi which is much better. Downside, no internet access in rooms on foors 1 - 4, only on 5 and above. Internet access is in reception area for 100 Yen for 10 minutes. Reception staff speak english which is very helpful. I would probably stay at this hotel again. I felt very comfortable there.

Longer stay than planned

I mainly used my room as a sleeping / resting place while walking around in Tokyo for the most part, it was a nice and pleasant place and the proximity to Asakusa station made it easy to travel around in the metro, and also simply walk around. I had to stay for a longer time than planned and the staff were helpful in getting me the additional time in the hotel, overall they were incredibly helpful in anything I asked for, and the rooms themselves are much better than the 3-star hotels I am used to in Europe.

Tight!

Small room, hard to know how it compares as it was our first visit to Japan, felt more like a cheap suite on a cruise ship! But great location, close to subway, I'd stay there again.

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

An airport express train goes direct from Narita to Asakusa, from A18 (Asakusa), literally a 5 min walk to Chidun (head sth). Costs roughly $15ea cheap!

typical Japanese business hotel

I have stayed in the Asakusa area several times... easy to get to reasonably priced area. This is my second visit to Chisun inn. Rooms are typically small but comfortable. A good value for Tokyo. Good location, easy Metro access to several lines. I would stay again.

very good hotel

Staffs are nice. Fast check-in and check-out. Room facility good. very clean. very quiet. I would come again. The elevator accidently broke down in the morning I checkedout. I had to walk down with luggage from the nineth floor. This made me missed the scheduled train to the airport. However, after I asked the front desk for help, they apologized and sent a staff up to help me carry the luggage down. I appreciate that staff very much. I left in a hurry, here I mention it and again thank you very much.

Rooms smell like cigarette smoke.

Rooms smell like cigarette smoke. It's very close to Kuramae and Asakusa metro stations. Nice hotel for visiting Tokyo if you only expect a place to sleep and take a shower. Rooms are a bit small, there is no place for the luggage, but this is a common thing in Tokyo.

We got 5 rooms for a bunch of family, and we all thought the hotel was great. It was a bit outside the city, which was nice after a busy day of getting around. There are 2 train stations close to the hotel, and a really neat shrine and tourist area.

My sister and I stayed here for

My sister and I stayed here for three days for the price of two so for that price I would say it is good value for money. The room is small, and one of us had to put the suitcase on the chair as there was no space on the floor. But it alright for us as we only used it for sleeping. Its proximity to the Asakusa subway makes travelling around very convenient and there was one day when we bought a one day Toei pass for 500 yen and saw most of the sights we wanted. Wish that there was at least one English language tv programme though for the nights we returned early.
