Convenient, comfortable and value if discounted (on a budget)

Managed to get a good price for an economy room, came with free breakfast and LAN internet. Traveller Backpacking trip on a pretty tight-medium budget; usually hostels. Location Shinjuku area itself is quite tricky to navigate, but once you get your bearings the hotel is quite easy to find. Convenient location with a Lawson store on the ground floor and Shinjuku station less than 10 minutes walk. Shopping malls like Lumine, Lumine 2, Odakyu and Keio are within 15 mins walk, as is the bus terminal. The streets are great to walk around at night (lots of buskers in front of the malls), but not too noisy around the hotel area. At the Shinjuku Station South Exit, in Lumine 2, try out Mr Waffle :D. Room The room is quite small, but this is Tokyo we're talking about. Comfortable, with all the necessary amenities (they even give you twin sets of comb and toothbrushes as well as pyjamas). The fridge was well-stocked, but might as well make a short trip down to Lawson's for cheaper snacks. The toilet has a washlet/bidet, and overall just like your normal hotel room. The bed was nice and comfortable, internet works fine. Breakfast buffet Decent spread/variety, mix of local and western/continental style breakfast selection. Taste-wise, they're alright but nothing to shout about. Value Good value, as long as the price is heavily discounted. With the discount, it was almost the same price for a night's stay at a decent hostel in Tokyo area. Will highly recommend the place provided you can get a good discount on the rooms.

Great tokyo hotel

The hotel is near a lot of shopping and dining options plus Shinjuku station just a 15 minute walk - very convenient location. The free breakfast is quite good but they only alternate between two menus, since we stayed for 5 nights it got a bit tiring, the rooms are very clean and the bed and pillows are comfortable, Excellent hotel and value for your money.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

If it is raining or you dont want to walk at street level. you can use Sunblade building subway exit/entrance 15 or 13 to get to and from shinjuku station to the hotel completely (well almost) underground.

a week at the best western in tokyo..

I stayed here for a week in feb 2013 as recommended by a friend. We booked special rates via rates to go as it was cheaper then booking it directly with the hotel. First time we have stayed at the best western chain and I am very impressed. We had room 405 which was just the standard room. Small but enough to fit a big luggage on the floor and another one on the stool (although walking space was restricted). All the amenities were perfect and you could always ask for more from the front desk. We were able to redeemed 4 nights of no housekeeping as it was not necessary to make our bed and change our towels everyday for credits which we put toward a sake giftset from the hotel. I think this is a wonderful system. A bit of a pain to change lifts to get to your room but i got over it. The lawson below the hotel was very convenient for midnight snacks and drinks. The Udon Dining restaurant on the 2nd level is a must!!! a bit pricey but they served a variety of fusion udons that made it all worth it. We only decided to attempt this restaurant on the last day in tokyo.. what a shame.. The staff was great help however a few more smiles and eye contact would make the experience abit more enjoyable. If you have heavy luggages when you leave for the N'ex enter via entrance/exit 13 across the road wher family mart is with the lift to Basement2, it is easier this way to wheel your luggage across to the station underground then lugging it above ground with all the busy crowds. The area was abit seedy but as long as you have someone with you, its all cool.

Surprising!

A bit hard to find but well worth the search. Interesting area and friendly staff. Rooms are bigger than expected with double beds in "single" rooms. Nice, modern decor and great bathroom/bath. 24 hour convenience store on ground floor and nice breakfast buffet.

Great hotel in a great location!

This hotel is in a great location, is very clean, modern and the staff are great. I left an expensive piece of Jewellery in the room when we checked out and only noticed once I was about to board the flight. I called the hotel and was told to email them and they would check. I received a response almost straight away that they had found the ring. Appreciate their honestly and lovely hospitality. Rooms are quite small but expected in Tokyo.. Only disappointment was the buffet breakfast. They did not have a great variety and it wasn't very nice. Overal great stay and will definitely be back!

Good choice to stay in Shinjuku

Main entrance lobby is on the first floor. Room is small but with complete amenities. Free bottle of water is only provided for the 1st night, which is still acceptable since tap water in bathroom is safe to drink. No WiFi in room but with free LAN cable connection. Breakfast options is acceptable with sufficient choices. Generally it is a comfortable hotel to stay for your entire travel in Tokyo and Shinjuku. Shinjuku train station is 15 minutes away by walking with luggage. Not straight forward to find at our first arrival at Shinjuku station as you have to cross a few roads to reach the hotel, but once you know the ways, it's quite convenient and is along the shopping streets.

Me and my boyfriend stayed 3 nights

Me and my boyfriend stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We were impressed with most things about this hotel. Nice and quiet, in a very good location close to everything and the rooms were comfortable. Things I think need improving - breakfast needs a bit more of a western touch and the pillows were very hard. Overall I would reccommend this place.
