Roppongi, Akasaka hotels
A huge complex of housing, entertainment, arts, and commerce, Roppongi Hills is like a mini city within the huge metropolis that is Tokyo. Though expensive, this complex makes for a good place to window shop and just stroll around and marvel at some very elaborate architectural designs.
There are a bunch of things to do and see in Roppongi Hills. It has the Mori Art Museum which has one of the finest contemporary art collections in Japan. There is an arena for all sorts of events like theater, music, and dance. There is also a cinema that has 9 screens and holds over 2,000 people. There are five separate areas of shopping and restaurants. Not to mention the amazing Tokyo city view from the observation deck!
Roppongi Hills is the trendiest spot in all of Tokyo. From nightclubs and bars to fashion and paintings, there is art all around you in Roppongi Hills. There are gardens outside and works of public art peppered around the grounds to give it a truly artistic flair. Locals call it “Foreigner Town” because of the number of tourists that flock to Roppongi Hills. This is one of the places in Tokyo that you don’t need to know a word of the native language.
Some people also call Roppongi Hills home with a grand apartment complex and a members-only club with elegant restaurants, gyms, and other exclusive services. Roppongi Hills is truly a city within a city!
