Delivers to expectations

We picked this Hotel on the basis of location, room size and rating. It delivered on all. The close proximity to Ark Hills gives a range of eating options, and it is a short walk from both Roppongi Itchome and Tameike Sanno metro stations which give good access across the City. The frustrations are in common with many Tokyo Hotels, the extra 3,000 yen charge for the pool (which appeared unused) and the lack of free wi-fi. The room size is good, and whilst decor could be updated, the rooms are comfortable, clean and have high quality linens. The concierge services and ability to take the airport limousine directly are bonuses, as was the ability to arrange a free late check out.

Mini getaway

The hotel gave us what we expected and the staff were very helpful. The location was very central and easy access to the underground railway system. Drinks and food were just a bit expensive for what you received. The only downside was that you had to pay 3000yen per person to go the the pool.

Beautiful hotel, helpful staff

Good size rooms, very comfortable! The wi-fi was free which was a big plus. The hotel is located a ten minute walk from Roppongi Station (pink and grey line), or a five minute walk from Roppongi Itchome (green line). There are more stations around. It's great being located between a few stations because there are different metro lines run by different groups so unless you buy an all encompassing ticket you will be limited to certain lines. Just up the road from the hotel is Roppongi and all it's delights. I have heard mixed reviews about Roppongi, but my friend and I (two females) stuck together and had a great time. Then we rolled back home to our lovely hotel and had a great nights sleep :) We didn't try the hotel restaurant or any other amenities. They did charge us 100 yen to print out our boarding passes which I thought was a little weird considering how much we paid for the room, but 100 yen is nothing, so it wasn't a big deal. Just a little annoying. Other than that minor (really minor) hiccup the hotel was great. Will definitely be staying there again!

perfect location

Hotel was great, food a bit expensive but excellent quality. The hotel also offers a 1 day subway ticket for anywhere on the subways for less than you can buy it at the station.

most major attractions are a 10 - 15 min walk away from the hotel. Subway exit is at the enterance to the hotel (exit 13) the other exits are not as close. Subway is excellent.

Very happy with our stay; our

Very happy with our stay; our room was recently renovated, very chic and quiet, and even had a good view. We borrowed a humidifier which was nice as I find pretty much all hotels too dry. The location was great, close to pretty much everything. The complex next door has lots of good restaurants and even a grocery store on the first floor, very convenient. Parking was a bargain given the location at JPY1,000 per night. In-room dining was very tasty, though portions a bit small. Of special note was the in-room massage service. My wife had a massage first and thought it was so good she booked one for me with the same woman. 45mins, JPY5,500 or so. The masseuse was an elderly Japanese woman named Tanaka-san. I'm not sure where she got her strength, but she was incredibly powerful - as well as skillful. Really loosened up my back and neck. I thought our stay was a bargain, even given the strong yen.

great hotel for the price, though

great hotel for the price, though nearest subway station is a bit far to walk back and forth to. the rooms are contemporary in design, although all are non-smoking and it is close to roppongi via taxi, which will cost you 710 yen per trip. main gripe is that the tamaike-sanno gate is around a 8 minute walk, which may be inconvenient if you are carrying luggage.

We stayed at the ANA Intercontinental

We stayed at the ANA Intercontinental from the end of March to early April 09. The Hotel is located very easily to the Tokyo Metro. After some grovelling to the Manager we were given free internet access for a week. They actually charge you for in room access. We had no breakfasts included in our stay. We did see the prices they charge and actually got caught to eating in the Hotels main Restaurant the very first night. We got charged $65.00 Australian for 2 measly small pizzas and a coke can cost A$10.00. The Australian Dollar as it stands forget about eating in the Hotel. If your on a no frills budget - The Seven Eleven and better still the Family Mart a short distance away from the Hotel is the best choice to get a decent feed. The Hotel itself is a great place. Its visually appealling with the front having water features as such. The Conceirge could have been a little better. Pretty baron if you ask me. Overall a good Hotel but simple adjustments can make it outstanding.
