Ludovisi Rome, Italy is the XVI (that’s 16th) historic district in Rome. The name Ludovisi was given to the area when the noble Ludovisi family’s property was destroyed. The prestigious Villa Ludovisia was built in the seventeenth century by the Cardinal Ludovico Ludovisi and was destroyed at the end of the nineteenth century to give rise to the subdivision of an important part of the green belt of Baroque Rome. This gave rise to a modern residential area with eclectic style. There are approximately 50 highly-rated hotels in this area including the Grand Hotel Via Veneto Hotel.
- Visit the district’s most famous street, Via Veneto, which houses Rome’s best hotels, famous cafés, bars, the indescribable Our Lady of the Conception of the Capuchins church, and the most elegant boutiques and jewellers.
- The Museo Boncompagni Ludovisi is a superb replica of the Villa Ludovisi, known for its ancient splendour of aristocratic lineage which is displayed in the décor, costume, and other fashions shown here.
- Villa Borghese is regarded as Rome’s most central and famous park with 190 acres with lots to see and experience, and not terribly far from the Ludovisi area.
