Auditorium Parco della Musica hotels
Auditorium Parco della Musica
The Auditorium Parco della Musica is the most visited music facility in the world. The facility was built in a space that was developed for the 1960 Rome Olympics. The Auditorium Parco della Musica has three concert halls to accommodate any size audience. The Sala Petrassi, in memory of Goffredo Petrassi, is the smallest hall. The Sala Sinopoli hall honours Giuseppe Sinopoli. The Sala Santa Cecilia is the largest concert hall in Europe and is quite beautiful with a unique cherry wood ceiling. Another option is the Cavea, an outdoor space that replicates open-air theatres of ancient Greeks and Romans.
- Tour the small museum within the Auditorium Parco della Musica where artefacts from an ancient villa and oil press that were discovered during the construction of the music hall are displayed.
- Stroll through the wooded park area surrounding the auditorium and enjoy the nature and air of Rome while waiting for your performance to begin.
- Celebrate like the citizens of Rome do at one of the festivals scheduled at the Auditorium Parco della Musica like the International Film Festival of Rome, Christmas at the Auditorium, the Festival of Books, and others.
The Leonardo da Vinci Airport is the main airport in Rome. Regional train and bus services also transport visitors into downtown. A variety of public transportation options within the city carry visitors to the Auditorium Parco della Musica. Special bus line “M” takes you right to the music hall. Getting on Tram 2 at Piazzale Flaminio also is a direct drop to Auditorium Parco della Musica. The nearest the metro can get you is the Flaminio stop where you can take the tram the rest of the way. Private car, taxi, and rented bicycles are other in-city transportation options.
