Karol Wojtyla International Airportis 8 km (5 miles) from the town centre. Two bus services run from the airport: Amtab(slower but less expensive) and Tempesta (runs more frequently and goes directly to the city centre). Both run services around the city, and Tempesta offers day tours and private charters.
For extended stays, rent a car, as there is little public transportation available to regional areas. Taxi or public transportation is a better option if you’re staying in the city, as parking can be difficult.
Regular ferry services are available to many destinations around the Adriatic coast. The rail network in Bari connects to many Italian cities with daily service.
