Western Wall hotels
The Western Wall is a remnant of the ancient wall surrounding the Jewish temples’ courtyard. Also known as the Wailing Wall or Kotel, the Western Wall is arguably the most sacred and recognised site by Jewish faithful outside of the temple itself. Over half of the wall dates back to the Second temple period, when it is believed to have been constructed, around 19 BCE. The wall is located at the western side of Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem and refers to exposed sections in the Jewish Quarter and others concealed behind structures along the its length.

Ben Gurion International Airport services the international travellers looking to venture to Jerusalem. The Nersher shared minibus taxi offers a 14-seater vehicle that operates on an hourly basis providing transport to most locations. It is, however, required that you book in advance for this service. Private taxis are available but often prove to be more expensive. The Israel Railway network provides transportation and can get you to places like Beer Sheva, Ashkelon and the Western Wall.
