Handy city centre hotel

All the comforts and ammeneties you would expect from a city centre four star coupled with some bizarre decorative flourishes in the public spaces which add a touch of individuality. Good breakfast buffet and good wifi.

Location is the selling point

The location of this hotel is its main selling point. While the room was very comfortable, it was very small and lacked any luxury considering the cost. Breakfast was not great I would have expected table service for the price. The staff I came into contact with at the bar were excellent and the receptionist at check in was very polite and helpful. Check out was not handled very well. At just before midday there was a queue of at least 12 people checking out and the queue continued for over 40 minutes. Overall I would not recommend this hotel due to lack of value for money.

Weekend trip

The hotel served as a good base for exploring Dublin including its night life for a weekend with some friends. The hotel is located conveniently 5 minute walk from Temple Bar, and therefore away from the main noise. I did not find noise to be a problem at all. The room decor was tasteful and the furnishing clean. The bed was comfortable and bathroom tidy. The Wi-fi signal was good and proved no problems throughout. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Excellent location

There a lot of great things about this hotel. Great location opposite Trinity College and a short walk into town. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the lobby, restraunt and bar are all grandly decorated and look fantastic. Staff are friendly, helpfull and good at their jobs. The only let down for me personally was the rooms. I know this hotel has recently changed names and perhaps ownership so there may be a plan to upgrade the rooms eventually. If not, there should be. Rooms are clean but basic. Not at all in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Anyway dont let that put you off booking. It really is a great hotel

Glad I read the reviews on here first...

... So on arrival, we asked for a garden side room or a courtyard view and NOT facing the main (very busy) street. It is beside a firehall but because of the room choice, it made NO difference to us. Quiet and comfortable. Nothing to complain about. A few short blocks away to Downtown. We left Dublin very happy. Can't wait til WestJet flies back there again!

Dublin's fair City Hotel

The hotel has a wow factor when walk through the doors. We were early checking in but the receptionist was able to arrange the rooms straight away. The rooms were a little dark but adequate for a short stay. The restaurants were of a high standard and breakfast (open from 7 to 10 am) was very nice. Bar area great, always staff on hand. All in all an enjoyable stay, would go back again. Thanks

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

take the hop on hop off buses, saved money and they go to all the attractions and run very frequently. I thought the Temple Bar area a little seedy but found a great bar with excellent live music on the outskirts, sorry didn't get full name but had Merchant in the tilte.
