Excellent Hotel

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights from 5th October. from check-in to check-out our experience was excellent!!!! The room was enormous, very large and comfortable bed, large dressing room and en-suite bathroom. The staff are very pleasant from the house keeping to the management. I recommend the afternoon tea and evening cocktails. The location is the best in Dublin, minutes away from the main shopping area. We utilised the valet parking, with our car secure for the stay and delivered to the entrance on departure. Looking forward to our return for a truly 5 star experience!!! William, Ballymena

Excellent hotel

I stayed at this hotel the night before an important exam in Dublin. I had a perfect, I disturbed quiet night's sleep. The rooms were excellent, spacious and decorated to the highest standards. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower powerful. The staff in reception gave me a very friendly welcome. I would definitely want to stay here again.

Location

Always wanted to stay here because of the well known name & popularity of the hotel. Location - could not find better in Dublin. Greeting - Doorman & reception was as you would expect from a 5 star hotel, excellent. But then came the room. I expected a plush spacious room. Our room was a bit on the smaller side (maybe there are other larger rooms?) , bathroom had the old fashioned climb into bath/shower with a glass splash guard across the bath. Not a power shower & water was cold for my shower at 6am before I went to airport!! I would have thought a separate shower and bath would be more appropriate for a 5 star hotel? The 'off white' study chair in the room was a bit on the grubby side, pay TV for movie channels?? Main restaurant closed on Sunday & Monday nights? But excellent service and food at the Nova Cafe next to lobby. Overall, overpriced for what you get.

Luxury in the heart of Dublin

The hotel is perfectly located off Grafton St, a couple of minutes from pubs restaurants and high end shopping centre. Despite this the hotel was quiet and we heard no outside noise. Sitting in the lobby looking out over the street and famous flower sellers was very relaxing. Afternoon tea is available and looked wonderful. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the addition of a proper coffee maker was a bonus. The staff were very attentive yet unobtrusive. Overall a lovely stay.

Don't order room service!

Sooo over priced its a joke. Business hotel for those who have over inflated expense accounts, no character or individuality, a truly sole less hotel. Rooms are tiny and bathrooms even smaller, decor ok, bathroom black grout and smashed mirror, room service €25 for the worst Pizza I have ever eaten and this was the "homemade Westbury Special", look else where for value for money! Over inflated prices for business traveller or someone used to a chain hotel.
