Excellent hotel

Excellent hotel, went as a family of 4 with two teenage daughters. Had the breakfast buffet which was good, and also kids also ordered snacks from the bar menu which didn't appear to be overpriced by Dublin standards. Only criticism is that I had to speak to around 4 members of staff to get extra cups in room, 4 people need 4 cups not 2. Managed to get them after my 3rd attempt only to have them taken away the following morning when they cleaned the room. Also only had enough towels for 2 people and when I requested extra they arrived with two face clothes and two hand towels. It was an approximate 20 minute slow walk into O'Connell Street where most of the shops are, then a short walk over the bridge which will take you to Grafton Street which is where the high end shops are. Staff were really helpful, day and evening staff so would highly recommend this hotel.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

taxi fares to Grafton street, over the bridge and sitting in lots of traffic is about 11-14 euros. take the taxi to O'Connell street and walk over to Grafton Street, taxi around 7-8 euros. and you get your bearings a bit better.

Comfort and roomy

Our stay at Croke Park was highly enjoyable. The to. Was spacious and even had a separate bath, clean and the facilities were first class. Staff were always polite and friendly and problems were solved quickly. The gym is well equipped and machines were in top condition. The only thing is the distance from O'Connell street shopping strip. It takes 15-20minutes to walk there but buses are available. All I. All is is a great hotel and the longer you stay the better the price. We'll be back!

Excellent family hotel with lovely attentive staff

We stayed on arrival in Dublin and 3 weeks later on departure. Top service during each stay, from the warm welcome to the professional Bistro service to the navigation assistance on departure. Lovely big bed in a clean comfortable room. We would certainly stay again.

Great hotel, Excellent Staff but a bit far

Staff was amazing and the hotel and food was great. Only downfall is the location with it being far away from downtown Dublin.

efficient and welcoming

From check-in to departure my experience at this hotel was great and everything ran smoothly. I particularly appreciated the helpfulness of the staff and their great "follow-thru" on requests for information, wake up calls and assistance. I would highly recommend the Croke Park Hotel to anyone wanting good service and value. And it was just the right distance from the city centre for a moderate walk in to the tourist areas each day.

if you want to enjoy Guiness without the bitter after taste a server here suggested adding black currant. They did and it was a spendid pint without any bitterness!

City trip Dublin

Comfortable hotel with friendly staff, unfortunately a little away from the city centre and most of the touristic attractions. City has a bunch of attractions, which are kind of expensive. Nevertheless it's worth the trip.

Nightlife tip: Long walk from hotel

The Temple Bar district clearly is the place to be for tourist, but if you head a little further south (10 min walk), you'll find the more authentic pubs and enjoy yourself with the locals.

Holiday Break

Decent experience in a decent Hotel. Very good central location for Dublin with easy access routes to out of town locations as well. Thought breakfast and food generally expensive but that was only downside. Rooms clean, well laid out and staff very well mannered and helpful. If you are staying for a few days great.
