Business Trip

Stayed in this Hotel before and it's always been good to stay, nice surroundings and looks quite exclusive. On this occasion it seemed below average, the price was too expensive for the room only rate I received (no breaky)? Tried the food which wasn't good at all for the amount of money spent. for example:~ A meat feast pizza - 17 euros and the base was thinner than paper with hardly any toppings? rip-off Also wasn't happy with the room being put near the kitchen where I heard all sorts of sounds from the kitchen & people outside on the chairs with banging through the walls. otherwise it was a pleasant stay...!!!

Not really a five star hotel

First of all, the location of the hotel is inconvenient. It is at the south of city centre and about 30 minutes on taxi from airport and 15 minutes to city centre. There are buses right at entrance but you have to make sure you have exact coins - yes, they only accept coins. The bathroom was a bit out of date. The bath tub looks old and dirty and I would never have a bath in there. The good things are: the bed is very comfortable, and it was a big room for a double room. The breakfast was good. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to people visiting Dublin. I stayed there for my friend's wedding. The wedding venue was lovely!

Good to be back

The St Helen's is a great family favourite and we have stayed there on visits to Dublin over a number of years since it opened. Standards are as high as ever with helpful and friendly staff. The grounds were beautiful in July and we enjoyed watching children from other visiting families playing in them - they were not just a showcase feature. Access to public transport into the city or the airport is easy - the bus stops outside the hotel. Our only slightly negative comment was that the duvet was not summer weight so was a bit too warm to be really comfortable on a summer's night (otherwise we would have given a straight 5 score) .

Good Business Hotel

I use this hotel occasionally when in Dublin - the hotel itself is very good. The food is very expensive but there aren't many alternatives close by. The staff are very good and you will have a comfortable stay.

If possible would travel down to Dun Laoghaire in the evening to eat - some excellent restaurants at reasonable prices.

Dublin Short Stay

We spent the weekend at the Radison as part of a touring holiday of Ireland. The situation was ideal; out of the centre of Dublin, but with excellent public transport links. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped; the staff friendly and helpful. The only negative was the lack of hot water in the mornings which we reported to staff, but was not addressed by the time we left. We are unable to comment on the food as we spent both days in the city eating there.

A very nice hotel, quite stunning when seen the first time and the gardens are lovely, rooms are A1 and everything is accessable. the only things it was lacking was a Pool? and the food menu was restricted, otherwise no doubt go again...
