Dining

This charming Dublin restaurant is named after a famous architect, Sir Charles Lanyon. Like the historic faade of this Dublin hotel, Lanyons exudes an old world, traditional charm. This is a very stylish restaurant, serving top class international cuisine. A real favourite among local Dubliners.
Bar
Presidents Bar is a very popular choice to relax and enjoy a drink from the bar or a snack from bar menu available all day.

A flying visit

My wife and I flew into Dublin for one night as it was a friend's 40th and therefore had to find a convenient hotel close to the centre. The hotel was staffed by very friendly & helpful people and the bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was superb (despite being vastly hungover!) I wouldn't however say it was great value for money but nowadays the same could be said for any central hotel in a capital city. Would we return to the O'Callaghan Davenport - probably not would we expect any better for the price paid - definitely not! Overall very satisfactory and did I mention the breakfast? :)

Everything was perfect, service

Everything was perfect, service from the morning receptionist let the whole place down. She was rude the whole time we were there and to each of us individually. The lady on in the evenings and the gentleman on in the very early morning shift were great. Great location, great place to stay.

Great hotel, big clean room which

Great hotel, big clean room which was located on the top floor. No noise, would reccommend this hotel. Only drawback was the gym, bit small.... and no visable shower.

Great location, although somewhat

Great location, although somewhat difficult to find on foot with the address given. Hotel is beautiful, and has traditional style - very quaint. Very clean, beds comfortable, although is the twin beds pushed together for a king style. But that was true everywhere we went in Europe. Great Value.

The Davenport met our requirements

The Davenport met our requirements perfectly. We wanted somewhere close to the National Gallery and Museum, and Stephens Green. It is also within walking disdance from Trinity College and Dublin Castle, which we visited. We stayed on a 'Room only' basis and cannot comment on the restaurant, but the checkin/out couldn't have been more efficient. The bedroom and bathroom were extremely clean. There were a couple of minor maintenance matters that needed attention, but they didn't impact on our overall satisfaction. Would definitely use again.

We enjoyed our stay at the O'Callaghan

We enjoyed our stay at the O'Callaghan Davenport. Great in terms of close enough to centre but in a quieter location. Bed huge; room bigger than some and a fantastic hot and powerful shower, which is always good after a long day sightseeing. Couldn't tell you about the bar or restaurant as did not use. Reception very helpful and happily held our bags after checking out on last day, before we needed them for the airport trip home. (There's a great little cafe/breakfast bar just across the road if you are on a budget).
