Money grabbing hotel

Arrived 30 minuets before booking in time and was charged 2 euros extra for parking fee. Train runs past widows of the bedrooms. The family room we were put in was small and badly in need of refurbishment . Mattresses were like a sack of potatoes. Sent us to buy a voucher for breakfast before we were allowed on to the restraunt Would not recommend

In the heart of Dublin

The hotel is conveniently situated in the City Centre, close to all transport and within walking distance of many attractions. We stayed in a Premier Room, having a balcony was great, the bar fridge was very convenient as well. Access to the premier lounge is a nice plus when staying in these rooms. The bed was very comfortable, and provided good rest after the days travels. Would definitely recommend.

Satisfying, relaxing, holiday.

We had a comfortable relaxing time. The hotel was clean and comfortable, it has a nice reception area and a quiet residents lounge. Our room was also comfortable. The tea making equipment very welcome. The food good. Went to the theatre a couple of times, had a sing song in a pub, walked a good deal around town and at the sea side. we also met up with relatives.

First time in Ireland

Beds were not that comfortable and the single bed tilted a little. The chairs in the room were so stiff and uncomfortable. The shower leaked a little from the shower door. On the other hand, the staff were super helpful and the rooms were clean.

Wouldn't recommend!

I thought this would be a great place to stay as it's close to Connolly train station and the website makes it look really good. We booked a family room for two nights. The family room was very small but the sleeping area was quite nice. The bathroom however was very below standard as the grout on the floor was dirty looking, cracked and bits missing, nothing like any bathroom i saw on the website. When i booked i also thought breakfast was included in the price but it wasn't! I travel to Dublin quite a lot and have paid much the same price as this hotel and breakfast has always been included and the hotel has always been nice. Needless to say.....i won't ever be staying there again! Didn't get that comfort feeling :(

O2 concert stay

I could'nt have been happier with my stay at the North Star, the staff are superb, as is Paddy the barman who is a dead ringer for Coach from Cheers. It was clean and the rooms were spacious and even tho it is an older hotel, it was very comfortable. The hotel is a stones throw from the Luas line, and Connolly Train station and is extremely convenient for getting around Dublin. I would definately stay here again.
