Maldron Hotel booked through Ryan Air, so watch out!

Hotel is nice as you would expect but as we had booked it as a deal through Ryan Air it meant that breakfast was not included. I didn't notice that in the small print and was surprised in the morning when an upstart boy member of staff imposed an on the spot fine of €20 for the two of us to eat breakfast. he could have handled it in a more friendly way, i bet we weren't the first not to realise that. It felt like we were still on Ryan Air. A petty trifle really but luckily you are allowed to us the toilets without surchage

This is a nice modern hotel in

This is a nice modern hotel in a great location - it is very close to the city centre and also the Grand Canal Theatre which is why we stayed there. The room was lovely modern and very clean. The service at reception was good so overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

Excellent hotel. 15/20 minute

Excellent hotel. 15/20 minute walk to main shopping/bars/restaurant areas. If raining / windy it would be a taxi ride which seem to be available on the stand outside the hotel at all times.Taxi from airport direct to hotel Euro 22 each way with Dublin Eco Taxi bookable on the internet

We stayed at the Maldron Hotel

We stayed at the Maldron Hotel Cardiff Lane Dublin for 4 nights in January 2010. The hotel itself is very new. There is a pool, sauna, spa, lounge area with internet access and a bar. Our room was a really good size with room for a little table with two chairs. The room was nice and clean as was the bathroom. The hotel was really good value for money. It is not right in the center of Dublin, it was about a 20 minute walk. There is a bus stop about a 5 minute walk away and we caught a taxi into the city for about 7 Euros. There isn't a lot to do near the hotel, but there are a couple of takeaway restaurants and a small supermarket. No mini fridge, but it was winter when we were there so we kept our drinks cold on the balcony.
