Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

We did the Guinness tour (self guided) and loved it. Allow for three hours if you'd like to have time to read everything, enjoy a pint and have lunch there.

The perfect location

Loved the area and have to say that Blooms Hotel made our stay most comfortable. Enjoyed the meals we had in the bar and the entertainment was easy listening. Room service was good. Staff very helpful and always willing to go the extra mile with a smile. Would definitely book the hotel again.

Great location!

Great location for walking in the City Centre and easy access to Bus tour stops etc. We had asked for one of the quieter rooms since there is a nightclub in basement which goes on well into the wee small hours. We had a room on top floor which although still noisy from the busy street outside (expected that from Temple Bar area so no surprise). The Hotel bar - the Vat House - was extremely lively and we had two really good nights entertainment there. Staff were very helpful. Only two things bothered us.... TV although looking fairly new picture and sound were very bad and the hairdryer didn't work - bad news in a room shared by women! We reported both to Reception nothing done about it (hotel was fully booked). There were a few people in Reception registering complaints which obviously didn't bode well when we arrived (both for ourselves and the other people checking in. However there was nothing major to mar our stay. I would use again, mainly for location and the wonderful Vat House.

Noisy couple of days

This hotel is located in "party central" in Dublin. Lots of people and lots of bars. There's a busy and noisy bar downstairs. If you're looking for basic accommodation and don't mind noise until 2.00 am or so, this will do. Not great value for money but most of the hotels around Temble Bar seem to be quite expensive. If you don't need to be where all the action is, perhaps stay a little further away somewhere quieter.

Spot on. Will defiantly choose again

Location brilliant , however if your looking for a quiet weekend best pick a different hotel as can be noisy through the night but as we were there for the night life we'll of been one of those making the noise lol Great staff nothing to much trouble Clean rooms how ever can be cold at times. 'the vat' pub attached to hotel has lovely atmosphere and open very late 5am

Demanded my credit card

The hotel is centrally located - but this means it can be noisy outside at times. Clean. Very sparse - no frills - not even a kettle! They demanded to take a swipe of my credit card even though the room was prepaid and I wasn't going to use any facilites. Not good.
