Beside Bus Station

Good 1-night stay before catching Airlink bus to the airport. Airlink stop is right across the street. Bus station and a Tram stop on the same street. Connolly Rail station 5 mins walk away. Room was small and basic, but seemed to have been newly decorated. Good nights sleep - no noise - it was a Sunday Night. Breakfast very nice.

Hmmmmm. Stayed 5 nights, not impressed.

I stayed at the Beresford Hotel early June 2014 and I dont think I will be back. I travel to Dublin a lot for business, and am still looking for that elusive leprechaun - cheap, clean and quiet in central Dublin. Beresford is cheap and clean. I stayed in two different rooms, the first which was facing the Main entrance to tbe bus station and had the Luas trams right outside the windows of my first floor room. It was in other words quite noisy. The TV was the smallest flat screen I have ever seen in my life - I could hardly see it from the bed, it was that tiny. On my fourth morning I woke up to a leak in the ceiling in the bathroom, which was not great, but not the hotels fault. When I called reception I was informed that they would move me, so if I left my suitcase packed they would find me another room and move me. So when I returned Thursday evening I was in a new room on the third floor away from the Bus station and Luas. Great I thought. Expect then I had the Dart right outside these windows. And this room was south facing, right under the roof and the windows could not open a lot. So it was really hot and there was no air-con. And the Dart trains all seemed to stop and wait right outside the hotel. Which was quite noisy.

Basic/Average

A very basic hotel. Possibly a little expensive. Hotel was a little hard to find and was not overly close to the airport bus stop. First room (308) was like a sauna. Heat and road/outside noise made it impossible to sleep on the first night. Very helpful guy on the early morning shift upgraded us to a better room for the last three nights which was much better. Free WiFi was good and location made it easy enough to walk into the centre of town to access public transport links.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Rambler bus ticket allows for travel on airport bus as well as Dublin city bus. Only a few trips we needed to save the entire cost of the airport bus alone.

Budget feel, 5 star price

Hotel was in a good location within easy walking distance to the City centre. This, the free wifi and cleanliness were probably the only redeeming features. The room was basic to say the least, no fridge, cramped and didn't even have a door on the wardrobe. I've stayed in cheaper hotels with better facilities, it felt like we were being ripped off a little. Although its not in the city centre it was still quite noisy. Our room was opposite a restaurant/bar, which created a bit of a noise issue. We could easily sing-a-long with every song being played, we felt like we were there! This got old fast especially at gone midnight when you have a flight to catch the next day. To add to this we could also hear every movement the guests above us made on the major creaky floor boards; felt like they were trying to break in through the ceiling.

Solid - Staff friendly and helpful.

Solid - Staff friendly and helpful. Location is quite good for shoppers with O'Connell St. adjacent and Grafton St. a short enough hike across the river... My only quibble during my recent stay was the intrusive sound of roadworks during the night (Yes..!) which only ceased at 1.45 am but that wasn't the fault of the Hotel in fairness. Just another good reason to always travel with your earplugs I guess...!

A very good central Dublin Hotel.

A very good central Dublin Hotel. Only issue is the noise from the night club but overall just what we wanted for the rugby International weekend. Buffet Breakfast for €10 was good value.
