Ireland holiday

Nice hotel. When I arrived, earlier than expected (about 12.30pm) after a long and tiring trip from Australia no room was available. I went to have some lunch and returned about 2.20pm but still no room. One became available about 2.40pm. The receptionist was helpful but failed to mention the need to use the room electronic key card to open corridor doors between the lifts and the room. This led to several frustrating moments trying to get to the room. The room was OK but not as modern as I expected. Service in the Iveagh Bar seemed to depend on the day and time. Sometimes the service was excellent and others it fell between very slow and almost non-existent.

Great location for crocke parc concert

My wife and daughter stopped there as they were going to see One Direction at Crocke Parc on the 24 May 2014. On arrival at the hotel they were greeted by the staff, who gave them a map and detailed information on the best way to the stadium and some helpful tips on what was going on in and around the area. They both could not speak highly enough about the hotel and it's staff.

Hotel great, but rooms not that fab

The location is very good, in easy reach of public transport and local attractions. The Hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast worth its money. However, all 4 rooms were facing the back and were hence very dark and depressing. The double bed was that small that we swapped it for a twin room. Overall, a good stay though.

Too ordinary to be a 4 star.

One would expect a four star to have gym facilities, complimentary bottled water in the room, more tv channels on offer, a business centre where guests can print, scan, access a PC etc. most other 4 stars I have visited have most of the above. This hotel has a good location for transport links and to some of the best tourist spots. This is however the only reason I would stay here again. The restaurant serves a good selection of meals, bit was over priced for what you get. Full breakfasts provided a good variety. Overall the hotel lacked that special something.

Good location

Superior rooms very comfortable, problem with plumbing in bathroom needs to be attended to,bath fills as you take a shower but probably is just the room we were allocated, other than that everything was excellent.Food in restaurant reasonably priced and good.

Great for a short beak

My only concern was the location. It could do with being a little more central, as options for eating outside are very limited. That said, food in the hotel is excellent so there is no real need to eat elsewhere if you don't want to.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Vegetarians restaurants. The city is full of bad, fat and expensive fast food.
