Maritime Museum hotels
The fascinating Maritime Museum, also known as Museum Bahari, is located at the northern side of Jakarta city, in the old Sunda Kelapa Harbour. The ancient Dutch East Indies warehouses store the exhibits of the museum. The Maritime Museum is famous for its wide and intriguing collection of boats, artefacts and various objects associated with the nautical affairs of Indonesia people, and their spice trade. Attached to the museum is the Menara Syahbandar tower, which was as a watchtower and weather station in the ancient times. The museum usually closes on Mondays and National holidays.

The Maritime Museum in the city of Jakarta is easily accessible via a private vehicle or taxi through the Toll Ports route, which traverses the old town centre. Bus services are also available including the Trans-Jakarta Bus, which operates between the first corridor, route of Blok M and Kota Tua. The Maritime Museum is approximately2km from Kota Tua Station; therefore, you can take a bicycle ojek, a Mikrolet or 'minibus' Kopami, or a bajaj or motorcycle to transport you to the museum. You can also walk the distance to the museum, as the walk is approximately fifteen minutes.
