Great hotel stay

We choose to stay in a more traditional Bali hotel this stay and this hotel did not disappoint. The hotel was exactly what we expected and then some. We had an issue with a leaking roof (tiny drops every hour or so) which we informed the staff and they were very quick to offer to move us to a new room and apoligised as they were unaware. We choose not to move rooms as it was our last night in the hotel anyway. We stayed in the Puri 3 room (deluxe room) which was perfect. So peaceful and gorgeous views of the area, trees and of the creek that runs through the property. Tip: if you are unable to go up steps with ease, or have trouble with steps due to hip problems etc - be warned there are alot of them as it is a big property and on the side of a mountain basically. However, if you requested a room closer to the lobby I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem. The hotel was in walking distance to the center of Ubud so it was a great location. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Ubud.

Nice week in Ubud

We had a lovely stay here in Ubud. It has a great location, 5 minute walk to the centre of town just across the river. The grounds and the room were lovely and kept well by the staff. We spent a great deal of time in and by the beautiful pool late every afternoon after excursions in and around the town, the perfect end to our days. That would have been even better if they had staff taking orders as we lay by the pool. We had to go to a bar ourselves and exotic cocktails and food had to be brought from the restaurant a long way uphill. While the staff were very helpful and nice most were not quite as friendly as other hotels we stayed in. That may have been a style imposed by the management or perhaps they were used to other guests being aloof or some such. The restaurant serves great meals, reasonably priced. The only minor faults are that the resort is on a very steep hill and there is a serious climb to and from the rooms, pools, spa etc. and the locks to the rooms are pretty primitive.

The only place to stay in Ubud

I will definitely return. we only stayed one night, which was not enough. The room itself was a little tired, but the actual hotel grounds...well, WOW! Not going to give too much away, but I can honestly say I've never stayed anywhere quite like it. Loved it! And the breakfast was exceptional too...best Banana Pancakes ever!

Breath takingly amazing

Highlight was the heartfelt smiles from all the staff. Most amazing experience was the massage for two that included oil, scrub then yoghurt followed with tea and an aroma bath with petals, all overlooking the Tjampuhan river. Our accommodation was large and private with a balcony over looking the tropical scenery, pool and river. We did not want to leave and will be returning.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Bridge restaurant for dining. Also another restaurant just up a drive -way that was entertaining and cheap. Lotus Garden was expensive and too far away from the entertainment. No microphones so could not hear. Cannot recommend.

Central beautiful and traditional Balinese

This beautiful hotel has great aspects across the valley and river . Wonderful gardens and an attention to beauty that only Balinese can do. I chose this hotel because it has traditional grand architectural detail. Our room was a little bit dark and needed airing to feel fresh. There are a lot of stairs at this hotel so don't choose this hotel if you have low fitness or mobility issues.

This hotel is beautiful. It is

This hotel is beautiful. It is built into a cliff and the setting is stunning. As it is set in a rainforest area there can be some wildlife in your room which you are warned about. This was the case for us and we were woken by something rummaging in our bin but easily solved by not putting any food wrappings in the bin. There are a lot of steps here too so not suitable for young children or old people. This was the most unusual hotel and the staff were lovely I would definately stay here again.
