not a friendly hotel

Front desk staffs are not smiling and friendly. You ask a question and they answer you that much and turn away and do their work. Really rude! Housekeeping never do a good job. Changed a new bed spread and without realising there are blood stain on it as it is so obvious at the right side of the bed. Location wise is alright but need a 15min walk from the TST MTR station. I am a frequent traveller to HK and this is my first stay in this hotel and definitely will be my last choice of hotel.

Fantastic hotel

I really enjoy my stay in this hotel. The sea view of my room is fantastic. The staff of the club lounge are helpfully, food and drink provided are delicious. The location of the hotel is great, the major shopping area and tube station are just a few minute walk.

Ok family getaway

Initially Was unhappy as not much of our special requests were received till after 1 nite. upgrade was given at a higher flr which was appreciated! The harbour view was good however partially blocked by some new upcoming buildings. Hand soap could have been changed everyday. Lightings a bit dim for seeing esp when reading or packing stuffs. It was a pity breakfast was not included for the price we paid. Liked the spacious rooms as compared to some others that I have been. We liked the night treats.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

There are many ways out fr the Tst mtr to East Tst mtr where the hotel is located. Take the N1 way out by lift to the ground flr onto Hanoi road and the hotel is jus on the left corner.

Good stop over option

I booked this for a one night stay on a stop over from New York. The club room was a great option and the view from the room over the harbour was great. This was in a good location and would consider staying here again.

Holiday

We stayed for 4 nights in Hotel Panorama. Location is convenient. HOwever on the last day of check out, the safe box was out of order. We cant access to the safe box with our code. And we have to wait for manager to come to fix it. Besides, it took almost 40 mins on check-out process. Due to the fact that we had to take around 1 hour because of long checking out time and safe box, we had to take taxi to the airport as opposed to taking airport express

Worst service in Asia

This hotel is in a good location and the rooms albeit small are nice enough. The downside to this place is the constant poor service that we received. I emailed the hotel almost a week before check in to confirm our late arrival however I am still waiting for a reply. We arrived around midnight and the person manning the desk on the ground floor pointed to the elevator and said check in on the first floor. When we checked in we were told that we had a room with 2 single beds. Our booking did say either 2 single beds or a double bed however when we asked the person who checked in he said that there were only single bed rooms available but there may be a double on our last night (we stayed 3 nights). Not really what we wanted as we had spent 3 weeks travelling through 5 different countries for our Honeymoon and this was our last stop! However if we payed extra we could have a double room with breakfast included. From reading other reviews this seems like a bit of a ploy to get customers to pay more when they arrive. After having to take our own luggage to the room - yes the only hotel that we stayed in Asia which did not take our bags to our room or even offer any sort of assistance with them - we found the room to be small but nice enough and with decent views. We were not given any information about the hotel at check in and we found no information in the room. Using the descriptions in the lift we found the restaurants and other amenities. The cafe on level 1 had a good buffet breakfast but the two times we ate there a number of the popular dishes such as bacon, eggs etc remained empty. Check out was also a bit of a wait but we expected this from previous reviews that we read. All in all for the price we payed the room was fine but the service that we encountered from every staff member was extremely poor. We chose this hotel instead of other ones recommended in the area by friends as we thought it looked good on the website however I have to say the next time we visit Hong Kong we certainly won't be staying here again. After 3 wonderful weeks of our honeymoon it was a sad way to finish!

Ideal location

Comfortable hotel in good location. Unfortunately the fantastic panoramic view is being spoiled by the construction of new high buildings between the hotel and harbour.

Fantastic Hotel

Great hotel and very convenient. Very near MTR. Just 1 min walk. Do try out Lucky dessert shop which is just round the corner of the hotel. The mango pomelo dessert is superb. Love everything about the hotel. Go for the Gold room. They have Harbour view. If not for the newly constructed building, Hotel Panorama will have a full view of the Victoria Harbour. Nevertheless, my wife and I enjoyed our stay. Thumbs up!

Many thanks to the bell boy

Only wanted to stay 1 night for some serious shopping, and this was one of the best as it was pretty central and a short walk to TST station. It is located opposite some wonderful eateries so we didn't eat in the hotel, just cross the road and you will be in front of some awesome HK cafes! They couldn't check us in until 2pm, so they held onto our bags whilst we went to splurged, everything was smooth and they gave us converters without an deposit as well. The only drawback was the no free wifi in the room, but it was only one day and was too tired from the shopping to do anything. You can always sit in the lobby and use the wifi like everyone else :) A huge thanks to the bell boy who was outside in the rain trying to hail us a taxi to get to the express train terminal. Poor thing didn't even have an umbrella and because the hotel is located in a small street he walked out to get the taxi! Talk about the service! Definitely recommend, and would be booking again as well.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The Express Bus from Kowloon station doesn't take you outside this hotel, get off at the first stop on the Purple Line, I think it was called Golden Mile, that is a shorter walk. That is cheaper than getting the hotel shuttle at the airport.
