Asamkirche is a beautiful church located in Munich, Germany. The church was built by two brothers, Cosmas Damian Asam and Egid Quirin Asam, was originally intended to function as a private place of worship. Construction of the church finished in 1746 and the church powers in Munich immediately demanded that the small church be open to the public. Today, Asamkirche is one of the most interesting churches in Munich and is flanked by the former home of the Asam brothers. A tour of Asamkirche is a great way to learn about the religious history of Munich.

- Tour Asamkirche's interior to enjoy the amazing frescoes, completed by Cosmas Asam, as well as the high altar that features a wax reproduction of the church’s patron saint.

Munich has a fantastic system of public transportation that makes the city easy to navigate. The easiest way for visitors to reach Asamkirche is to take the U-Bahn to the Sendlinger Tor station that is located just a short distance away from the church. Cycling is very popular within the city, and bike enthusiasts will enjoy the great network of paths that navigate throughout the city. Visitors are advised that the church is a small structure in the city, but many area maps and hotels can provide specific directions to this famous attraction.
