Berlin’s Viktoriapark is located in the Kreuzberg area, home of the historic Kreuzberg memorial. The 66 meter-high park is additionally world-renowned for its sprawling landscape views at all hours day and night, a destination of family fun that, again and again, never fails to attract thousands of locals and holidaymakers every year. Quite the social commons for residents of the Kreuzberg area—particularly on sunny days when the sunbathers hit the scene—the park features a waterfall, playground, vineyard, and beer garden. Visitors can admire the many monuments spread throughout Viktoriapark’s sprawling grounds as they explore one of Berlin’s most picturesque reprieves from an otherwise hustle-bustle city.
- Explore the Golgatha Beer Garden at Berlin’s Victoriapark and find out how beer is made, from the fermentation process to shelf-stocking.
- Tour Victoriapark’s illustrious vineyards, one of Berlin’s number-one locations for first-time or veteran visitors to the area.
- Visit the National Monument at the top of the park’s hill, a neo-classical cross designed by Schinkel in commemoration of the Napoleonic Wars.
Viktoriapark is located at Kreuzberg 10 965 and can be easily accessed by bus. Travellers from Bergmannstr should take the N42 or N6 while travellers from Yorckstr should take the 140, M19, and N7. The 140 and M19 in particular will take you to the Kreuzberg waterfall area located near the park. Additionally, the U Mehringdamm subway, part of the city’s famously efficient U-Bahn underground rail system, provides U6 and U7 service to the park. There are also several hotels of varied expense located within close walking distance of the park.
