Germany has long been known for its amazing feats of technology and engineering and this rich history is on full display in the German Museum of Technology in Berlin. The German Museum of Technology was originally founded in 1982 in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin with the aim of preserving historical artefacts relating to the progress of German technology. The main emphasis of the museum is on rail travel and there are many interesting exhibitions that tell the storied history of locomotion in Germany, as well as the influence of German technology around the world.
