First off, for the price and convenience of being close to the main railway station our room was great.
We were in a room facing the street which had two issues. There was a lot of noise from the street, and the window rattled when trucks/buses
went past, which was unfortunately very frequently!
Also while the location was great for access to the regional train and tram to the beach, the hotel seemed to be in a pretty "rough" neighbourhood. There were groups of guys hanging around yelling, playing music and it didn't feel that safe walking around particularly at night.
Overall OK for the price, but next time I would try and stay a bit closer to the beach. Even a few blocks would help.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Catch the tram two or three stops down towards the beach. Have dinner at one of the many nice eateries in the Old part of town.

Near train station
Hotel is near train station, so it's very convenient, but it also means that it's a little further away from the main tourist belt, but still a walkable distance. Staff are not very friendly and helpful though, request to get some hot water are
always met with a flat " I don't know" even though they clearly have a cup of hot tea in hand!
